Welcome to my hobby.
For the past couple years or so, I've been messin around with beats, remixes and the
like, just on the computer with whatever cds, samples, or wave editor I had at the time.
Obviously, the first few things I came up with kinda sucked.  Whaddya want from me?
I was new at this sorta thing.  After a while, tho, u start to suck less and less and
eventually you might even get kinda good.  And then u build up a repertoire, a
collection of your own tracks that you might want to show off to your friends, even if
they don't give a flying fuck about what sorts of stuff you do in your spare time.
Eventually, like every other kid with an internet connection, you make a website.  Well,
             here it is.  Take it.

           The Tracks:
Here's the stuff I've come up with so far.  If I were to come up with an album, these
tracks would be on it.  The tracks are compressed in their entirety in to shit quality
mp3s.  Sorry about that...I just did it to make the d/l process easier.  Actually, all the
mp3s can be found on www.alteredperception.com, a site well worth checking out if yer
an aspiring artiest.  Meanwhile, check out what I got here.  I think it's good.  Judge for
           yourself:

|mp3|    The Beat and the Chorus (6:39):  This is the latest track az yet, and I'm really proud of this one.
Think Prodigy but with more depth meets Moby with better production.  The
ending's really really nice.  At 6:40, it's my shortest work yet.  The good quality
version is currently available.  Take advantage of this now!  Download!

|mp3|    Plastic Smile (the Happy Song)  (7:58):  Writing / recording this sucker was FAST, man.  The
entire process only took about 2 or so weeks, which is really REALLY good, for
me.  Cuz I'm slow.  This is basically a parody of those dumb super-happy dance
tracks u see getting played on Electric Circus n stuff.  Parody because it's just so
damn over-the-top super-happy.  People may find it very disturbing....

|mp3|    I'd Like To Die (Slowly) (8:30) : Everything the Happy Song was not.  This cut is slow,
depressing, and it took for freakin ever to make.  It's been called "ambient", and
it's not for everybody, but from what I've seen, those that like it like it a lot, and
develop a tendency to rant.  If you like your music slow, dark, and long, check it
out.  If not, go listen to Prozzak.

|mp3|    Closure (CT Emix) (8:12) : Have you noticed that almost every song title has brackets in them?
I just did.  It's freakin me out.  Why the hell did I do that?  Well, anyways, this is
actually the 2nd track that I'd ever done before in my life.  It took me 6 months.
Half as long as the first one, but  at least twice as good, which isn't sayin much.
(More on that later.)  The CT Emix part (Emix = Remix by E.  Get it?  ha ha) is
there because of 2 huge samples from a fairly popular rock track from a couple
years back.  Guess which.  Or just listen for about 2 minutes to find out.

            Other Stuff:
Here's some of the other tracks I've made, that either suck too much or infringe on too
many copyrights for me to use, say, ever.  So I'm giving them to you.  Go nuts.

|mp3|    Breathe (Emix) (5:24) : The very first thing that I've ever done musically on my computer was
this Emix of Prodigy's Breathe.  I think I was 15.  It took me a full year using
SB-Pro WAVstudio, mainly cuz the program sucks.  It comes with the soundcard,
for god's sake!  It can't be that great.  Still, the tracks' not bad, considering the
                     limitations.  Lots of whupass.  Enjoy.

|mp3|    Prayze U (4:14) : OK, here's the story.  A little while back, yearbook comittee needed music
for the video they were making.  My connex in the comittee hooked me up with
the job: they needed a kwik cheesy track for this dance portion of the video.
Something exactly like Fatboy Slim's "Praise You", but not.  They couldn't use the
real one because of legal issues or some shit.  Like Norman Cooke is gonna worry
his rich Brit ass over some high school in Canada.  So I went home, sat at my
piano and whipped up a kwik little cover of this highly annoying song.  It's the
fastest thing I've done EVER: only two days.  If you've heard some of my other
stuff, see if u can spot all the samples I recycled.

|mp3|    The Microsoft Sound (Remix) (0:56) : Pure Jokes.  I got bored one day and had a couple hours
to kill.  Been meaning to make this for a while, actually.  It's under a meg and it's
moderately entertaining.  Why not check it out?
